A real adventure begins with smart planning

Off-road trips with ATVs and SBS are one of the most exciting hobbies there is. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a veteran rider – the experience of riding, the encounter with the scenery and the adrenaline flowing through your body are something that is difficult to explain in words. But to make it a trip you'll remember fondly – and not one that ends with frustration, a tow or even an injury – there are a few rules of thumb that you must know and apply. Let's talk about everything – how to prepare properly, what equipment you must take, and how to take care of your vehicle and yourself to ensure a safe and satisfying trip.

First of all – check the weather

You don't go out into the field without checking the forecast.

Sudden rain can turn a normal trail into dangerous mud.

Heat wave? Immediate danger of dehydration. What to do?

  • Check a detailed forecast (and not just Gush Dan – check specifically by riding area).
  • Pay attention to warnings about extreme temperatures or sand/dust storms.
  • Adjust the departure time – preferably early morning or towards evening, especially in the summer.

Coordination and clarification of limitations – no skipping!

Not every path is legal.

  • It is forbidden to enter nature reserves – there is clear signage, and entry with vehicles is strictly prohibited.
  • Night hike? Not allowed everywhere. In most nature reserves, staying overnight is prohibited – you must check with the Nature and Parks Authority.
  • Firing areas? Coordination with the Home Front Command is mandatory!
